The department started its activity in September 2020.
In the main staff (there are 16 professors and teachers, of which 1 person has a PhD degree), internal assistants (5 people), senior teachers (2 people), teachers (13 people).

The head of the department started working on October 6, 2023.

The main activities of the department are as follows:
• Training of highly qualified and competitive personnel who meet high moral and ethical requirements at the level of developed democratic countries;
• Regularly conducting and improving the comparative analysis of state educational standards, curricula and programs in the department's areas and specialties with the educational programs of developed foreign countries; Development of educational programs for the department's subjects and submitting them for approval in the prescribed manner, as well as preparing summaries of the educational programs prepared by related departments;
• Preparation of textbooks, educational, methodological and demonstration manuals, discussion of reprintable textbooks, training manuals and teaching-methodical manuals at the level of demand, teaching the quality of education provide; Supervision of students' qualification practice, course projects (works), graduation qualification works, master's theses, as well as independent works and scientific research works;
• Implementation of control of students' knowledge based on the credit-module system, organization of activities of students outside the auditorium;
• To select talented students and train them, to prepare them to participate in Olympiads and contests, including contests of educational funds, to take measures to improve the forms and methods of organizing independent education of students; Systematic organization of students' scientific and creative activities, attracting talented students to research, teaching them to perform scientific and research works individually and as a team, necessary organizational, methodological and material and technical conditions for realizing their scientific and creative activities. - creation of conditions;
• Conducting scientific and research works in accordance with the approved plan, discussing completed scientific and research works, recommending publication and introducing their results into production, ensuring effective integration of education, science and production;

In the 1st courses: "Integration of language skills", "Reading and writing practice" and "Language aspects practice" subjects
In the 2nd year: Country studies
In the 3rd year: Theoretical phonetics
Scientific research work of the department: despite the fact that the Department of Applied English 2 has been established for a short time, all the teachers of the department are involved in conducting scientific research work. In 2024, according to the plan, 2 teachers are expected to defend their PhD thesis. Protection plans have been developed for the coming years as well. In addition, teachers have been participating in various scientific seminar trainings in order to increase their scientific potential.
Achievements of the department:
- in August 2022, N.F.Mamatkulova defended her scientific research work for obtaining a PhD degree at the Department of Applied English Language 2.
- In the 2021-2022 academic year, 2 teachers Yu. Normatova and Z. Khasanov from the 2nd Department of English Applied Sciences improved their professional qualifications at the University of Portsmouth, Great Britain.
- the teacher of the department, Yu. Normatova, completed the teacher training course at the Stafford house school center in Great Britain in June 2023 and received a CELTA pass certificate for Level 5, and participated in the Uzbek culture festival organized in London in June.
