The "Arabic translation theory and practice" department conducts its activities based on the decrees of the President of our Republic on education, the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, and the University Council, as well as the tasks specified in the "Law on Education" and paying special attention to the quality of education. is going. The Department of Translation Theory and Practice of the Arabic Language was established on August 26, 2021, separated from the Department of Translation Studies of Romano-Germanic Languages. From the establishment of the department until now, K.S. Kadirova has been the head of all teachers of the department, uniting them and organizing the work of the department. The department conducts theoretical and practical activities related to the issues of translation studies, carries out tasks related to translation studies and translation skills, 60230200 - Theory and practice of translation (Arabic language) and 5120200 - Theory and practice of translation (Arabic language) prepares an expert in the fields. "Arabic translation theory and practice" department has a potential place in the university. The topic "Social and economic processes in Uzbekistan, source studies, translation studies and translation research methods" has been defined as the direction of scientific research of the department. All the research works carried out in the department are carried out within this direction.

 Scientific-methodical work is well underway at the department. There is a plan of scientific and methodological work for 2022-2023.

Students have been actively participating as translators in international competitions, conferences, festivals and events held on the scale of the republic. Among the students there are winners of the Zulfiyakhanim award, Navoi and Presidential scholarship holders, and winners of the republican Olympiad. In the department, foreign citizens, experienced teachers whose mother tongue is pure Arabic share knowledge with students. At present, simultaneous translation lessons are being taught to students in English-Russian and English-Uzbek directions.

Professors-teachers of the department carry out educational work in an integral way with scientific-research work. In recent years, they have published educational manuals and brochures, many scientific articles and theses. Professors-teachers of the department actively participate in republican scientific journals, international conferences, republican scientific-practical conferences and university-wide scientific conferences..

Oman At the invitation of Nizwa University in the Sultanate, the delegation of the State University of World Languages ​​of Uzbekistan returned on a business trip from March 19 to March 24, 2022.
