A roundtable discussion on "The Path of a Translator".

On January 24, 2024, as part of the reading week at the Information Resource Center, a roundtable discussion was organized. At the event, ARM deputy director M. Mukhamedjonova, Head of the department Sh. Ismoilova, teachers of the Translation faculty and the 3rd English faculty, N. Mamazokhirova, Kh. Kurbanova, and students of the 1st-3rd year had a meeting with a member of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan, a well-known translator, holder of the Order of Friendship, associate professor of the Department of English Translation Theory, Holbekova Begoyim Abdurakhmonovna. A roundtable discussion was held on the topic of "Translator's path".

At the meeting, Begoyim Abdurakhmonovna talked about the translated works and published books. They talked about the features of both languages that translator should know and pay attention in order to translate one work in poetic translation. Poems of Uzbek poets translated into English were performed at the event.

The participants were shown a video made on Alisher Navoi's works translated by Begoyim Holbekova with professors and teachers of Florida International University of USA.
