On December 11-12, in cooperation with the Public Fund for the Support and Development of National Mass Media, the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences, the State Museum of the Memory of Repression Victims under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Organization of Turkic States, on December 11-12 in the city "Jadidlar: ideas of national identity, independence and statehood" an international scientific conference was planned.

The first day of this conference was held today in the Tashkent City Congress Center - Meeting Hall. In it, new insights into the consistent study of the idea, goals and tasks of the Jadid movement, the contribution of the movement in the field of enlightenment and publishing, socio-political efforts for the formation of national statehood, as well as the scientific and cultural heritage of the Jadids, their research were exchanged.

The rector of UzSWLU Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov and representatives of the university administration, heads of departments and professors participated in the event.

We remind: on the second day of the event, a panel session will be held with famous Uzbek and foreign scientists, representatives of the field of history, and it is also open to the general public.

Scientists Temur Khojaogli, Adib Khalid, Hisao Komatsu, Zaynobiddin Abdirashidov and Mehmet Bozdog who is the author of world-famous historical series, will take part in the meeting.
