On March 4, representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) visited UzSWLU.

The guests, consisting of JICA volunteer coordinator Mr. Iwata Shoichi, JICA volunteer coordinator Mrs. Tomoko Ashihara, JICA volunteer program coordinator Khasanov Odilkhan, JICA volunteer Noto Kuniyuki, were welcomed by university management representatives and a bilateral meeting was organized as part of the visit.

Vice-Rector for International Cooperation A. Nasirov, Head of International Relations Department H. Yuldashev, Dean of Oriental Philology Faculty D. Djurayev, Japanese language teacher N. Khamidova took part in it.

At the meeting, issues of future cooperation with JICA were discussed: allocation of educational and technical grants, invitation of new volunteers, creation of conditions for volunteers to work at UzDJTU, development of relations with Japanese HEIs.
