On November 9, 2023, the Rector of our university, Professor Ilhomjon Madaminovich Tokhtasinov, met with foreign teachers of the Department of Japanese Philology of the Faculty of Oriental Philology. During the meeting, a discussion was held about living conditions and work activities of Japanese teachers in Uzbekistan, especially at the University of World Languages.

Japanese teachers Igusa Kazuko and Hiromu Yamagishi expressed their gratitude for the attention given to foreign citizens and the conditions created.
Also, during the conversation, it was agreed to teach Japanese culture together with the Japanese language in order to arouse students' interest in the language, to teach the teachers of the Department of Japanese Philology new technologies in Japanese language teaching. Taking into account the growing interest in the Japanese language and the growing number of students who want to study in Japanese universities, it was agreed to further increase cooperation with Japanese universities in the future.
