Sumalak festival was organized at the faculty of international journalism.

The festive event took place on March 6 was opened by the rector of UzSWLU Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov and participated by vice-rector for financial and economic affairs Suyun Abdullayev, faculty dean Amrullo Karimov. They also participated in cooking processes of sumalak and pilav together with the students.

During the day, the faculty stage of the " Balli qizlar ( Bravo Girls)" pageant was organized, and the students who won the honorable places were awarded with certificates of honor and souvenirs.

At the same time, the final results of the cooking competition were announced, and the winners were awarded with certificates and souvenirs. The students of the 3rd stage of Intercultural Communication, who won the 1st place, were awarded a monetary prize by the Faculty.

Sumalak cooking processes are still going on at the faculty of international journalism.
