"Uzbek Sinologists Symposium"

On February 2nd of this year, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Uzbekistan organized the first-ever "Uzbek Sinologists Symposium" in Uzbekistan.

During the event, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Uzbekistan, Mr. Yu Jun, congratulated the participants on the New Year according to the lunar calendar and announced the commencement of the "Association of Sinologists" in Uzbekistan. On this occasion, the ambassador wished Uzbek sinologists success in their activities.

Additionally, at the symposium, the head of the Chinese Philology Department at the Faculty of Oriental Philology of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University, PhD Shahnoza Hakimova, delivered a lecture on the attention being given to teaching the Chinese language at the university and the issues that need to be addressed to further develop this activity in the future.
