History of the department: The Department of Theoretical Sciences was established in 2021. Despite its relatively short history, the department has become home to many experienced scholars and specialists. Among other departments, it stands out as one of the most advanced, with highly qualified professors and lecturers holding academic degrees.
The first head of the Department of Theoretical Sciences was Senior Lecturer Roza Valeryevna Timanova, who led the department from 2021 to 2023.
From 2023 to 2024, the department was headed by Candidate of Philological Sciences, PhD, Associate Professor Ibrohimjon Usarov.
Since 2024, the department has been led by Candidate of Philological Sciences, PhD, Associate Professor Ilhom Tukhtayevich Khaydarov.
Main Areas of Activity of the Department:
- Conducting lectures and seminar sessions at a high methodological and professional level in accordance with state educational standards for higher education and approved academic plans;
- Supervising students' final qualification papers, master's theses, and independent research by applicants;
- Objective assessment of students’ knowledge based on the credit-modular system;
- Developing curricula for the department's disciplines and submitting them for approval in accordance with established procedures;
- Preparing and discussing textbooks, educational and methodological manuals, as well as other teaching materials intended for publication;
- Creating favorable conditions for the department’s academic staff to conduct research activities;
- Discussing completed research projects and recommending them for further implementation stages;
- Ensuring the integration of education, science, and industry;
- Reviewing and approving individual plans of the department’s academic staff concerning teaching, methodological, research, spiritual-educational, and organizational activities;
- Studying, summarizing, and disseminating the experience of seasoned professors, adopting new pedagogical and information technologies, and integrating them into the educational process.
Scientific Focus of the Department:
An interdisciplinary approach within the modern directions of anthropocentric linguistics.
