On May 29 of this year, at the initiative of senior lecturers of the Department of Applied English Studies No. 3, Saodat Agzamkhodjaeva and Shohsanam Shukurova, first-year students from groups 2407, 2410, and 2424 visited the Uzbek State Drama Theater located in the capital.

The play "Children of Turkestan" is based on B. Irzayev’s book "Uzbek Youth and Foreign Education" and J. Jovliyev’s novel "Do Not Fear." It was staged by director Rasuljon Tog‘ayqulov under the artistic direction of Olimjon Salimov, the People’s Artist of Uzbekistan, laureate of the State Prize, and the theater’s chief director.

The play tells the story of students who, with the support of the Jadids, studied in Germany in the past century, dreaming of a free and prosperous Turkestan. These students differ in age and chosen fields of study, but they are united by a common goal — the upliftment of Turkestan. They dedicate all their strength to this mission, even risking their lives. They work tirelessly to see their homeland’s future free and prosperous and to ensure that future generations are educated.
