At the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, the "Imam Maturidi Cup" sports competitions and the Republican scientific-practical conference titled "Islam – Promoter of Health" were held under the slogan "Sport – Ambassador of Peace."

The event was attended by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and Chairman of the Uzbekistan Student Sports Association, Qo‘ng‘irotboy Sharipov; Minister of Sports Adham Ikromov; Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs Sodiq Toshboyev; Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan and Mufti, Sheikh Nuriddin Kholiqnazar; First Deputy Chairman of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan Otabek Umarov; Chairman of the National Paralympic Committee Muxtorkhon Toshkhojaev; as well as heads of higher and religious education institutions.

The Rector of Uzbekistan State World Languages University, Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, also participated in this prestigious event.

The event featured sports competitions, demonstration performances, cultural programs, and congratulatory speeches. In addition, scientific reflections were shared on the importance of the harmony between sport and spirituality in building a healthy society, and on the role of Islam in promoting a healthy lifestyle.
