Internship Program for Indian Students Launched at UzSWLU
Based on the academic cooperation agreement signed between Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU) and India's Banasthali University, six third-year students from Banasthali University are undertaking an internship at UzSWLU from May 12 to May 25, 2025.
On the first day of the visit, the Rector of UzSWLU, Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, met with the visiting students. During the warm and friendly meeting, the rector welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of not only strengthening their translation skills during the short-term program but also getting acquainted with Uzbekistan's rich cultural heritage.

Two of them arrived in Uzbekistan on May 10, while the remaining four arrived on May 12 and were accommodated in the university dormitory. The students were assigned to the Department of Translation Studies of Romance-Germanic Languages at the Faculty of Translation, with a special training program prepared for them and supervising teachers appointed.
The students were also introduced to the historical and cultural landmarks of Tashkent city. On Sunday, May 18, they will take part in a one-day trip to the ancient and unique city of Samarkand.
As part of this academic exchange, in March 2025, six UzSWLU students along with the Head of the Department of Romance-Germanic Translation and a French language instructor visited Banasthali University.
This academic exchange program serves to strengthen the friendly ties between the two universities, enhance student qualifications, and deepen cultural relations between nations.
