On February 3rd of this year, the 22nd "Japanese Language Oratory" competition took place at the Faculty of Eastern Philology of the Uzbekistan-Japan Center for Human Development (UzSWLU).

Judges for the competition included Bessho Ayako, a Japanese language instructor from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Futaba Tomohisa, a Japanese language instructor from the State University of Economics, Alhara Misaki, and the translator Mashhuraxon Toxtamirzayeva.

Participants competed by delivering speeches in Japanese on a given topic within a set time frame.

The main goal of the event was to expand students' ability to speak freely in foreign languages, foster a culture of communication, enable them to express their thoughts in front of a group, and acquire new knowledge.

At the conclusion of the competition, the judges awarded certificates and commemorative gifts to the winners. The dialogue conducted in Japanese during the event was rich in discussion.
