On May 15, a meeting was held at the Uzbek State University of World Languages with representatives from the Sanya Foreign Language School of the People's Republic of China.

 

The meeting was attended by School Chairperson Helen Ma, Board Chair Alice Liu, Director Mark Xing, Director of the Registrar’s Office Ashley Lei, and representatives of the international department Ying Chenwei and Liu Tian.

Rector Ilhomjon Tuxtasinov provided detailed information to the guests about the university's activities, international cooperation, and the system of Chinese language teaching.

 

A video about the Uzbek State University of World Languages (UzSWLU) was presented to the delegation, followed by a presentation on the admission process, requirements, and conditions.

 

The parties agreed to arrange internships for UzSWLU students in China, facilitate faculty exchanges, and organize winter and summer schools for students.

Rector Ilhomjon Tuxtasinov proposed starting the cooperation with a Memorandum of Understanding and later signing separate agreements for each area of collaboration.

 

 

At the end of the meeting, the guests were familiarized with the university's infrastructure.

The Sanya Foreign Language School has over 1,000 students, including young learners from more than 20 countries. Classes are conducted with the participation of language specialists from the United States and Europe. The school also offers specialized programs in sports, music, and the arts.
