Scientific-Practical Conference on “Technological Innovations and Translation” Held at UzSWLU

On May 27, the Faculty of Translation Studies at Uzbekistan State World Languages University hosted a scientific-practical conference titled “Technological Innovations and Translation: Challenges, Opportunities, Prospects.”

The event was opened by the university rector, Professor Ilhomjon Tuxtasinov. Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Otabek Yusupov and Dean of the Faculty of Translation Studies Ulug‘bek Yo‘ldoshev also delivered speeches, sharing insights on the role and future of modern technologies in translation.

 

 

At the plenary session, young researchers presented on the following topics:
– “Addressing Terminological Issues Through Technology” – Og‘iloy Karimova;
– “CAT Tools in the Translation Process” – Ulbosin Abduganiyeva;
– “The Future of the Translation Profession in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Competition or Collaboration?” – Jasmina Tolibova;
– “Cultural Equivalence in Translation: Balancing National Identity and Global Reach” – Mohinur Abdullayeva.

As part of the conference, a cultural program featuring an orchestral performance and artistic dance lifted the spirits of the attendees.

The event served as a platform for sharing scientific ideas, innovative approaches, and valuable experiences.
