UzSWLU Delegation Continues Visit to Xi'an Polytechnic University
On May 23, 2025, the delegation of Uzbekistan State World Languages University continued its visit to one of the prestigious higher education institutions of the People's Republic of China – Xi'an Polytechnic University. During the visit, the delegation members became closely acquainted with the activities of the university's Media Communications and Art & Design departments.
Throughout the day, UzSWLU representatives held meetings with the heads of the Media Communications and Art & Design faculties. During these discussions, the similarities between these departments and those at UzSWLU, as well as potential areas for mutually beneficial cooperation, were explored.
In the field of media communications, opportunities are provided for both Chinese and international students to engage in practical training in journalism and film production within laboratory settings. At the Faculty of Art and Design, education is provided in 16 different areas, including fashion, graphic, and industrial design.
During the visit, the Uzbek delegation delivered a presentation on the educational process, academic disciplines, and international cooperation at UzSWLU.
At the end of the meeting, preliminary agreements were reached to establish cooperation between the Faculty of International Journalism of UzSWLU and Xi’an Polytechnic University. Following the signing of a memorandum, the universities plan to collaborate in student and faculty exchanges and scientific-practical experience sharing.
It is worth noting that UzSWLU plans to introduce a design program in the near future. Close cooperation is expected with Xi’an Polytechnic University, which has extensive experience in this field. The university also runs joint programs not only with institutions in China but also with leading universities in the United Kingdom.
The UzSWLU delegation also expressed great interest in interactive lessons and student-oriented teaching methods conducted by an African expert from the United Kingdom.
Furthermore, discussions were held regarding the development of joint educational programs in the field of media communications between the two universities.
