Department of Ecology and Green Resources

History of the Department:
The Department of Ecology and Green Resources was established on January 30, 2025, by the rector's order (Protocol No. 6 of the Academic Council), as part of the Translation Faculty of the university. This decision marks an important step in the development of the university, focusing on integrating ecological approaches into education and scientific research.

Scientific Focus of the Department:
The department's primary scientific focus is the improvement of agronomy for oilseed and leguminous crops, as well as methods for improving soil ecology. The department is actively involved in the development and implementation of environmentally safe agricultural technologies.

Courses Taught at the Department:
One of the core courses offered by the department is "Ecology," which provides students with the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to understand and address environmental issues.

Educational Infrastructure of the Department:
The department follows the state education standard (DTS), with a typical program and curriculum for the undergraduate level. The university's information and resource center offers students access to relevant educational and electronic literature, which supports the deep understanding of the subject.

Scientific and Methodological Work:
The faculty members of the department effectively analyze, systematize, and summarize their own experience and that of their colleagues. They utilize the most effective scientific methods and techniques in teaching. Institute of Ecology:
An Institute of Ecology was established at the university to support the training of young specialists in the field of ecology. The institute is focused on forming an ecological school with an ecological mindset, developing doctoral programs in ecology, and publishing scientific works, monographs, and textbooks.

Teacher Professional Development:
Department faculty regularly undergo professional development in the field of "Ecology and Environmental Protection" at the regional training center at the National University of Uzbekistan in Tashkent.

Contribution to Social and Cultural Activities:
In line with the Year of Environmental Protection and Green Economy, the department places special emphasis on implementing green technologies, water conservation, increasing green spaces, mitigating the effects of the Aral Sea disaster, and addressing domestic waste issues. Students participate in scientific training, contests, and exhibitions, and conduct awareness-raising activities in neighborhoods and schools to promote water conservation and raise awareness about freshwater scarcity.
