A Creative Meeting with Farmon Toshev Held at UzSWLU

On May 17, 2025, a creative meeting was held at the Faculty of International Journalism of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University with the prominent poet, writer, public and political figure, member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and editor-in-chief of the combined editorial office of “Zarafshon” and “Samarkandskiy Vestnik” newspapers, Farmon Iskhoqovich Toshev.

The event was opened by the university rector Ilhomjon Tuxtasinov, who emphasized the significance of such spiritual and educational gatherings in shaping young people’s worldview and professional development.

Professors, lecturers, and students from the Department of Information Service and Public Relations, as well as the Department of Political Science, actively participated in the event.

During the conversation, Farmon Toshev shared his literary work, experience in journalism, and his views on public writing. He also donated 15 books from his own collection to the university library.

The meeting, held in a lively and interactive format, was enriched with the guest’s life observations and reflections, serving as a great source of motivation for students.
