Another PhD Dissertation Defense Held

On September 19, a PhD dissertation defense was held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University. Sadbarg Mirolimovna Jumayeva, a basic doctoral researcher, presented her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Philological Sciences, specializing in 13.00.02 – Theory and Methodology of Education and Upbringing (English Language), titled “A Text-Based Approach to Teaching Idiomatic Expressions to Foreign Language Learners.”

The discussion was attended by UzSWLU Rector Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, members of the Academic Council, official opponents, field experts, academic supervisors, and doctoral students.

During the presentation, the theoretical foundations, methodological approach, and practical application of the research were thoroughly discussed. At the end, the researcher provided well-grounded answers to the questions posed by the Academic Council members.
