Award ceremony held during the council meeting

On June 4, during the regular meeting of the Council at Uzbekistan State World Languages University, several members of the university community were honored and awarded.

• Usmonjon Komilovich Ermatov, Senior Lecturer of the “Theory and Practice of Arabic Translation” Department at the Faculty of Translation Studies, was congratulated by university leadership on the occasion of his 60th birthday.

• Saida Irgashevna Kayumova, Director of the University’s Information Resource Center, was officially recognized and congratulated for being awarded the “Excellence in Information and Library Services” badge.

• Abdulhadiy Abdullaevich Yusupov, Lecturer at the “Theory and Practice of Arabic Translation” Department, received a letter of gratitude from the Embassy of Palestine in Uzbekistan and His Excellency Ambassador Javad Awad for his effective translation work with Palestinian citizens.

• Umida Hasan qizi Abdushukurova, a student of the Faculty of Translation (English), was awarded for winning 2nd place in the national academic olympiad “ZARMED-2025” held in Bukhara on May 16, 2025.

• Farida Kamol qizi Ne’matova, a lecturer at the Faculty of Translation Studies, was presented with a certificate of appreciation from the event organizers for her active participation as a jury member in the same olympiad.

• Otabek Muzaffarovich Usmonov, a student of the Faculty of International Journalism, was awarded a cash prize of 7,500,000 soums and a special certificate for winning the national stage of the “Heirs of Mirzo Ulugbek” competition held in Tashkent from May 20–24, 2025.
