Delegation from Russia’s Northern (Arctic) Federal University Visits UzSWLU

On July 11, the Uzbekistan State World Languages University hosted a meeting with a delegation from Russia’s Northern (Arctic) Federal University. During the discussions, both sides explored opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation and exchange experience in the fields of education and science.

 

 

The NAFU delegation included Polina Golomidova, Head of the International Cooperation Department and Coordinator for Scientific Collaboration with Central and Southeast Asian countries, and Viktoriya Khatanzevskaya, an expert from the department. From UzSWLU, participants included Rector Ilkhomjon Tuxtasinov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation A. Nasirov, Head of the International Relations Department Kh. Yuldashev, Head of the Joint Educational Programs Coordination Department F. Musaeva, Head of the Second Foreign Languages Department A. Yuldashev, and University Professor D. Qulmatov.

The following areas of cooperation were discussed:

  • Promotion of Scandinavian and other language teaching (Finnish, Swedish, Hungarian);

  • Joint scientific supervision and co-publication of academic research;

  • Implementation of interdisciplinary educational programs.

 

Other important and mutually interesting topics were also addressed during the meeting.

This visit marked a significant step toward strengthening ties between the two universities and laid the groundwork for future joint initiatives and projects.
