“Followers of Tomiris” Sports Competition Held at UzSWLU
On May 6, a sports competition titled “Followers of Tomiris” was held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU), initiated by members of the Women's Advisory Council and advisors to the faculty deans on women's issues.
The event was officially opened by the university’s rector, Ilлhomjon Tukhtasinov. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of such initiatives that encourage female students to lead a healthy and active lifestyle, and he wished all participants success and good luck in the competition.
The main goal of the competition was to promote a healthy lifestyle among women, strengthen national and universal values, and nurture students based on the exemplary lives of great ancestors, loyalty to the homeland, kindness, honesty, dedication, and entrepreneurship. It also aimed to encourage greater social engagement among young women.
Female student teams from nine university faculties competed in four categories. The teams were named as follows:
