Honorary title awarded by UzSWLU

Yesterday, within the framework of meetings and discussions taking place in Germany,
the Rector of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University, Prof. Ilkhomjon Tuxtasinov,
presented the honorary title “Honorary Professor of UzSWLU” to
Professor Marion Grein — linguist, didactics specialist, and professor at Johannes Gutenberg University (Germany).

This honorary title was awarded to Professor Marion Grein for her outstanding contribution over the past 15+ years to the development of German language teaching methodology as a foreign and second language at UzSWLU, for conducting training seminars for teachers, for her practical assistance in creating new-generation textbooks based on CEFR standards, and for her initiatives in organizing professional development programs for UzSWLU teachers in Germany.

As a result of the projects led by Professor Grein, the following achievements were made at UzSWLU:

• modern German language textbooks were developed;
• regular methodological seminars for teachers were established;
• opportunities for professional development in Germany were expanded;
• new methods based on interactive, neurodidactic, and digital approaches were introduced to improve the quality of education.

Rector Prof. Ilkhomjon Tuxtasinov congratulated Professor Marion Grein on receiving the honorary title and expressed confidence that cooperation will continue to strengthen.
