Today, on September 22, the Rector of UzSWLU, Ilkhomjon Tuxtasinov, held a meeting with Korean foreign specialist teachers.

The meeting was attended by the foreign lecturers working at the Department of Korean Philology of the Faculty of Oriental Philology – Yoon Dong Kyeon, Kim Kyung Ae, Ko Eun Hee, Na Sahm Il, Lee Ji Won, Yun Nan Ju, Na Jong Ib, Park Jeong Ju, and Choi Seong-Hoon. Also present were Vice-Rector for International Cooperation A. Nasirov, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Philology D. Juxraev, and Head of the Korean Philology Department S. Bobomurotova.

During the meeting, the rector inquired about the living and dormitory conditions of the foreign teachers and their level of satisfaction. The guests noted that the thirst for knowledge and the active participation of UzSWLU students impressed them, adding that such a scene is rare even in South Korea.

The Korean teachers also stated:
“Here, the students are very active and eager to learn. Their enthusiasm delighted us. In addition, I always see the dean at work. He goes around the classrooms, and if equipment is lacking, he immediately takes action. This is a sign of great attention and care for us,” — they said, expressing gratitude for the organized meeting.

This meeting contributed to further improving conditions for foreign specialists, increasing students’ interest in foreign languages, and expanding joint projects.
