On May 15, a dissertation defense was held at the Uzbek State University of World Languages for the award of the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Philological Sciences.

As part of a one-time academic seminar, the dissertation titled “Linguopragmatic Aspect of Tourism Vocabulary (on the Example of Uzbek and English Languages)” by Gulbahor Qarabayevna Abduxalilova was discussed. The dissertation was prepared in the specialty 10.00.11 – Language Theory, Applied and Computational Linguistics.

The seminar was attended by the academic advisor — Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Dilfuza Teshaboyeva, as well as official opponents.

During the discussion, participants shared opinions on the scientific-theoretical and practical significance of the dissertation, the relevance of the topic, and the scientific results achieved by the researcher.
