On May 24, 2025, the Uzbekistan State World Languages University hosted an international scientific-practical conference on the theme “Global Environmental Problems, Desertification, and Food Security.”

The event, held in cooperation with the international scientific journal “Science and Innovation,” was officially opened by the university’s rector, Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov.

The conference was attended by the Chairman of the Ecological Party of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Abdushukur Khamzayev; Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of UzSWLU, Otabek Yusupov; Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Turakhon Rakhimova from the Department of Ecology, Faculty of Ecology at NUUz; Head of the Ecological Party Faction of Uzbekistan, Khayrulla Gapparov; and Deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Member of the Committee on Democratic Institutions and Civil Society Development, and member of the Ecological Party faction, Khayrulla Yusupov.

The conference was divided into the following four sections:

1. Ecology and Environmental Protection;

2. Food Security and Agriculture;

3. Green Resources and Green Transformation: Promoting Practical Application;

4. The Role of Foreign Languages in Studying Global Environmental Issues.

The event featured speeches and presentations on various environmental topics.
