On September 28, 2023, there was a meeting with the President of Soongsil University of the Republic of Korea Beom Sik Jang and the Vice President of this University for International Cooperation Ju-Young Park.

The rector of UzSWLU Ilxomjon Tuxtasinov gave detailed information about the university's activities, international relations and the work being done on teaching the Korean language at our educational institution, as well as put forward a number of proposals for establishing mutually beneficial cooperation between the Universities.

Founded in 1897, Soongsil University is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Korea and currently has 19,000 students, including 2,000 foreigners. The university ranks high in international ratings, cooperates with nearly 300 universities in the world and prepares along with other institutions and organizations high qualified specialists for world leading companies in the IT field, such as Samsung, LG and Google.

The university president, Mr. Jang, expressed his readiness to cooperate with the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages as the most reliable partner in Uzbekistan, to implement exchange programs for teachers and students, open double degree programs in 2+2 or 3+1 formats and other areas of mutual interest.
