Online Meeting between the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages (UzSWLU) and Chonbuk National University (South Korea)

On October 28, 2025, an online meeting was held between the Uzbek State University of World Languages (UzSWLU) and representatives of Chonbuk National University (South Korea).

From Chonbuk National University, the meeting was attended by President Oh Bong Yang, Vice-President for International Affairs Hwarym Cho, International Affairs Manager Sehun Lee, and interpreter Nilufar Makhmatillayeva.
From USUWL, the participants included Rector I. Tuxtasinov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation A. Nasirov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and Innovation O. Yusupov, Head of the International Cooperation Department X. Yuldashev, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Philology D. Juraev, and Korean language lecturer I. Abdiyeva.

During the meeting, the parties discussed expanding cooperation in the fields of education, research, and academic exchange.
In particular, they agreed to establish exchange programs for students, teachers, and researchers; co-author academic publications in indexed journals; develop joint supervision mechanisms for research projects; and organize joint conferences, seminars, and webinars.

At the conclusion of the meeting, President Oh Bong Yang of Chonbuk National University was awarded the title of “Honorary Professor”, and both sides reached an agreement on signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Cooperation Memorandum.

This meeting marked a new stage in the development of international collaboration between USUWL and Chonbuk National University, strengthening scientific and cultural ties between higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and South Korea.
