PhD Dissertation Defense: A Topical Issue of Modern Literature Analyzed

On May 6, a meeting of the academic council was held to discuss the defense of the PhD dissertation by Ijobat Najmidinovna Jurayeva in the field of Philology.

The dissertation, prepared under the specialty 10.00.04 – Languages and Literature of Europe, America, and Australia, is titled “The Theme of Youth in American Literature at the Turn of the 20th–21st Centuries.” It explores, through literary analysis, the depiction of the younger generation in American literature, their socio-psychological condition, and their relationship to the spirit of the times.

The academic council members, official opponents, and experts who attended the defense acknowledged the relevance of the topic, the scientific novelty, and the robustness of the research methodology.
