Uchtepa District Mayor Meets with Youth

On August 13, Uchtepa District Mayor Bunyod Mamadjanov visited the Uzbekistan State World Languages University. The meeting was also attended by the university’s rector, Ilkhomjon Tuxtasinov.

The mayor met with the students who won the “Step into the Future” project, held discussions with them, and became acquainted with a specially equipped room and facilities created for students under the project. The youth’s initiatives and ongoing work were positively evaluated.

For reference: within the framework of the “Step into the Future” program, 48 university graduates expressed their intention to participate with their business ideas. Out of them, 35 presented their projects. Of these, 20 graduates’ projects, which met the established criteria and had a total funding amount of 5 billion 138 million soums, were reviewed and positively evaluated by employees of the “Uzmilliybank” Regional Banking Services Center.

In particular, the following 5 types of projects from 15 graduates were funded:

• 1 “Installation of a water-filtering vending machine” — 50 million soums;

• 8 “Language Training Centers” — 205 million soums;

• 1 “Delicious National Dishes” — 50 million soums;

• 1 “Translation Center” — 10 million soums;

• 2 “Tailoring” projects — 18 million soums;

• 1 “Driving School Development” — 900 million soums;

• 1 “Grocery Store” — 50 million soums.

The total funded amount was 1 billion 283 million soums, creating 41 jobs. Additionally, it is planned to finance 5 graduates’ projects worth a total of 3 billion 855 million soums.
