UzSWLU Representatives Participated in the International "Silk Road" Conference in China

On May 22, 2025, an international conference titled “Integration and Cooperation of Production, Education, Research, and Practice” was held in China’s Shanxi Province, organized by the provincial government.

The event brought together nearly 300 participants from over 15 countries, including France, the Dominican Republic, Brazil, Algeria, Russia, Italy, India, Malaysia, Mongolia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as leading Chinese universities. Among the participants were representatives of Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU), invited by Xi’an Polytechnic University (XPU): Vice-Rector for International Affairs A. Nasirov, Head of the Internship Department T. Ismailov, and Department Chair N. Khamidova.

 

 

Conference objectives:

  • Strengthening academic cooperation: establishing joint programs, research initiatives, and academic exchange between XPU and foreign universities;

  • Promoting innovation: introducing global developments in digital production, artificial intelligence, and modern technologies;

  • Cultural and historical dialogue: supporting intercultural understanding and sustainable development in the spirit of the ancient Silk Road.

During the conference, discussions were held on the following topics: “Technological Innovations: Application of AI, Smart Industry, and Eco-Technologies,” “Joint Projects: Signing agreements between XPU and foreign partners in education, research, and economics,” and “Cultural Exchange: Preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of Silk Road countries on a global scale.”

Additionally, UzSWLU Vice-Rector for International Affairs A. Nasirov reached agreements with the vice-presidents of Xi’an International Studies University and Xi’an Peihua University on fostering bilateral cooperation, academic exchanges, and joint initiatives.

 

 

The 2025 Silk Road International Conference blended tradition with modernity, opening new horizons for global collaboration. The host city, Xi’an, as the eastern starting point of the historical Silk Road, highlighted its cultural and economic importance in today’s world.
