Winners of the “Followers of Tomiris” Sports Competition Announced

The “Followers of Tomiris” sports competition, held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University, has concluded, and the most active and talented teams have been identified.

Among the nine faculty teams that competed in four events, the following results were recorded:
1st place – “Zulfikor” team from the Faculty of English Philology
2nd place – “Breath of Tomiris” team from the Faculty of Translation Studies
3rd place – “Ambassadors of Courage” team from the 2nd Faculty of English Language

Winners in the following special nominations were also awarded:
“Most Creative Team” – “Shield” team from the Faculty of Russian Philology
“Most United Team” – “Girls of Turan Land” team from the 1st Faculty of English Language
“Most Active Participant” – “Descendants of Tomiris” team from the Faculty of Romance-Germanic Philology

At the end of the competition, members of the winning teams received the following cash prizes:
1st place – 800,000 UZS
2nd place – 700,000 UZS
3rd place – 600,000 UZS

University Rector Ilhomjon Tuxtasinov congratulated the winning teams and presented them with prizes and diplomas. In his speech, he highly praised the social engagement of female students, their interest in sports, and their team spirit, wishing them success in their future endeavors.
