The History of the English Language Faculty 1

Due to the Decree of the first President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 1875 as of December 10, 2012 "On measures to further improve the system of learning the foreign languages" and Decree No.1971 as of May 23, 2013 "On measures to improve the activities of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University", the English language faculty 1, the English language faculty 2, and the English language faculty 3 were established on the basis of the First and Second English philology faculties.

At present time, the English Language Faculty 1 has 5 specialized departments and 2 non-specialized departments, and more than 151 professor’s staff is making their pedagogical activities. There are 15 Doctors of Science (DSc) and 23 Doctors of Philology (PhD) degree professors on the faculty.

There are 6 computer-equipped auditoriums with an Internet connection, utilized by the students to enhance their self-study skills.
