Doctor of Science (DSc) Dissertation Defense in Philological Sciences Held

On October 10, 2025, a meeting of the Academic Council for the defense of a Doctor of Science (DSc) dissertation in Philological Sciences was held at Uzbekistan State University of World Languages.

The meeting was conducted in a hybrid format — both offline and via the ZOOM online platform.

According to the agenda, the dissertation of Munira Baxtiyor qizi Mengliyeva titled "Expression and Typology of Verb Aspectual Meanings in English and Uzbek Languages" was presented for defense in the specialty 10.00.06 – Comparative Literature, Comparative Linguistics, and Translation Studies.

The event was attended by the rector of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, Ilhomjon Tukhtasinov, members of the Academic Council, and official opponents.

The researcher provided a detailed presentation of the purpose, relevance, main results, and scientific novelty of her work.

Members of the council and the opponents shared their opinions on the dissertation and gave it a high evaluation.

At the end of the meeting, Munira Baxtiyor qizi Mengliyeva’s dissertation was positively assessed and recommended for public defense for obtaining the academic degree of Doctor of Science (DSc) in Philological Sciences.
