On May 30, the Faculty of the First English Language at Uzbekistan State World Languages University hosted an event dedicated to the opening of the "Azerbaijani Language Center."

The center was established based on an agreement signed on December 18, 2023, between the Azerbaijan University of Languages and USWLU. It is equipped with textbooks, educational materials, fiction (including those translated into Uzbek), country-specific resources, visual aids reflecting Azerbaijani traditions, national costumes, and musical instruments.

The event was attended by representatives of the Azerbaijani Embassy and Cultural Center in Uzbekistan, as well as vice-rectors and international department staff from the Azerbaijan University of Languages. Speakers noted that the center would serve as an important hub for in-depth study of the Azerbaijani language, history, and customs of the Azerbaijani people.

It was also announced that a "Uzbek Language Center" is planned to be opened at the Azerbaijan University of Languages in the upcoming academic year.

At the end of the event, guests enjoyed a performance of traditional Azerbaijani music and dance.
