The Rector of UzSWLU met with students preparing for field classes

On May 3, a meeting was held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University with students from the Faculties of Romance-Germanic Philology and Oriental Philology who will participate in the field classes planned in Khiva, Bukhara, and Samarkand from May 5 to 8 as part of the “Guide-Interpreter” training course.

The Rector of the university, Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, and members of the administration attended the meeting and held a sincere conversation with the students. Rector Tukhtasinov emphasized that such practical trips serve as an important school of experience for youth and provide an opportunity to reinforce theoretical knowledge with practical skills.

This visit is organized in accordance with Presidential Decree No. PQ-269 dated July 18, 2024. During the field classes, students will act as guide-interpreters at historical sites. A total of 48 trainees and 3 supervising teachers are participating in the trip.
