On November 12, 2025, Uzbekistan State University of World Languages signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM).

The memorandum was signed by Rector I.M. Tukhtasinov of UzSWLU, Director of the Network Center for Retraining and Professional Development of Pedagogical Staff Dj.R. Abduganiyeva, and UTHM’s Vice-Rector Mas Fawzi bin Mohd Ali.

The main goal of this memorandum is to expand international cooperation in higher education, create opportunities for exchanging experiences in joint teacher professional development programs, academic exchange, and scientific research activities.

The areas of cooperation planned under the memorandum include:

 Joint professional development programs for faculty;
 Academic mobility for students and highly qualified specialists;
 Joint scientific research projects and conferences;
 The introduction of modern pedagogical technologies into the educational process.

This memorandum marks a new stage in strengthening scientific research and educational ties between Uzbekistan and Malaysia, as well as promoting the professional development of faculty members internationally.
