Visit of Selçuk University Representatives
On November 12, 2025, a meeting was held at Uzbekistan State University of World Languages with representatives from Selçuk University of Turkey.
The meeting was attended by Professor Hüseyin Yılmaz, Rector of Selçuk University; Professor Recai Kus, International Relations Coordinator; Professor Bünyamin Ayhan, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism; Professor Mustafa Ersöz, Faculty of Science and Engineering; Professor Mustafa Acarer; and Dr. Farise Yılmaz, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine.
From Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, Rector Ilkhomjon Tuxtasinov, Vice Rector for International Cooperation, Head of the International Cooperation Department, and Head of the Joint Education Programs Coordination Department participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, the following issues were discussed:
Establishing joint educational programs in the fields of Foreign Languages, Journalism, International Relations, and Social Sciences at the undergraduate level in a 3+1 format, and Master's programs in a 1+1 format, with curriculum and program adjustments to European standards.
Collaboration in scientific research, including joint supervision of doctoral dissertations, publishing articles in journals indexed in Scopus, and organizing conferences and seminars.
Organization of joint professional development courses, grants for students, internships, and summer schools.
Faculty exchange: Sending Uzbek State University of World Languages' Russian and Chinese language instructors to Selçuk University and inviting Turkish language instructors from Selçuk University to Uzbekistan State University of World Languages.
Both sides emphasized their readiness for mutually beneficial cooperation.
