Prospects of Cooperation with the Japan Institute of Entrepreneurship

On September 8, 2025, a meeting was held at the Uzbek State World Languages University with Tatsuya Kuroda, President of the Japan Institute of Entrepreneurship.

The event was attended by the university's Rector Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Abdurakhim Nasirov, Head of the International Cooperation Department Khusanboy Yuldashev, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Philology Dilshod Jurayev, Head of the Department of Japanese Philology Nargiza Khamidova, and Associate Professor Malika Ibragimova.

 

 

During the conversation, the parties identified key areas of cooperation. These included student and faculty exchange programs, inviting Japanese language specialists to UzSWLU, organizing internships for students of Japanese language groups in companies affiliated with the Institute, launching short-term entrepreneurship and business management courses aimed at employment opportunities in Japan, and implementing summer and winter programs.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to expand cooperation in the fields of education, scientific research, and exchange, to gradually implement joint projects, and to sign formal agreements.

Background: The Institute of Entrepreneurship was established in 2006 and primarily trains master's students in business administration and IT. Out of 5,000 students, 400 are from Uzbekistan. On average, around 100 students graduate successfully each year. The Institute has signed memorandums and agreements with 52 universities from 16 countries. Starting in April 2026, bachelor's and doctoral programs are planned to be launched. The Institute also includes various companies that provide students with practical experience.
