Currently, Dean of the Faculty of Eastern Philology at Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU), Mr. D. Djurayev, and Leading Specialist of the Department for Work with International Rankings, Mr. F. Sultonov, are on an official visit to the Kingdom of Thailand at the invitation of the New Silk Road Foundation.

On April 29, 2025, representatives of UzSWLU took part in a cooperation meeting held at Assumption University of Thailand, one of the country's prestigious higher education institutions.

The event was also attended by representatives of leading higher education institutions from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.

During the meeting, the UzSWLU delegation delivered a presentation on the university’s international activities, its achievements in QS and Times Higher Education rankings, and its advanced experience in language education. Additionally, discussions were held on strengthening international cooperation, developing joint scientific projects, and advancing student exchange programs.

At the conclusion of the visit, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between UzSWLU and Assumption University.

This document opens new opportunities for implementing academic exchanges, scientific research collaboration, joint projects, and educational programs between the two institutions.

Furthermore, the UzSWLU representatives ceremoniously presented commemorative gifts and a traditional Uzbek doppi (skullcap) to the President of Assumption University, Mr. Sirichai Fonseka, and members of the university’s administration.

This official visit marked an important step toward expanding UzSWLU’s international cooperation network, strengthening its position in the global educational arena, and opening new prospects for future collaboration.
